GRAHAM WOOD, Senior Partner

Industry: Healthcare IT, Security, Professional Services, Hi Tech

Years of Experience: 35+

BIO: Graham is a North Carolina BBQ loving native who has been in the Atlanta area for several decades. Having spent much of his career in the tech industry, he’s an expert in hyper growth, raising equity, and working with banks for venture debt, which allows him to point out the pitfalls and issues that are to be expected when businesses are on the growth path. He also has experience with product line, managing sales, support, resellers, and development for an entity along with IT, finance, administration, and legal, which gives him a unique view of an operation and provides the groundwork needed to understand the interdependencies between the disciplines. When not working on a financial model, he enjoys upland bird hunting, fly fishing and doing volunteer work.

JANET MULROY, CFO

Industry: Venture Funds, Real Estate, SaaS, Startups

Years of Experience: 25+

BIO: Janet is a self-proclaimed Jersey girl who relocated to Atlanta in 2005, with more than 25 years of finance expertise under her belt. Having worked as an investment banker, startup executive, and investor throughout her career, she enjoys starting with companies in the small business stage and working with them as they grow to reach the next level of success. With a masters degree in accounting, she’s most valuable when she’s providing a mix of strategic insight and tech-based finance solutions for the growing businesses in her care. Now a resident of Milton, Georgia with her husband and four children, she’s still an avid fan of the Yankees and Giants — so don’t even think of trying to convert her!

MELISSA POWELL, CFO

Years of Experience: 15+

BIO: A Midwest girl at heart who loves being in the South, Melissa is a fractional CFO with over 15 years of experience working with companies in various industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, retail, restaurants, technology, fintech, and cryptocurrency. As a CFO, she has the opportunity to work with amazing companies on their largest financial opportunities and challenges. With extensive financial due diligence, she enjoys when the Acuity team adds value to their clients and helps them achieve their financial strategy and goals.

DERRICK WILLIAMS, CFO

BIO: CFO at Acuity for over a year. Also an investment banker focused on advisory services for startups and growth opportunities. Certifications in FINRA 7, 63, 79 and 99.

CHUCK MEIERS, CFO

Years of Experience: 25+

BIO: Consulting CFO at Acuity for over 4 years. Accomplished financial management executive and CPA with over 25 years of experience running the finance, accounting and administrative functions while being the “right hand man” to executive and functional leaders in companies ranging in size from entrepreneurial startups to $4.7B. Especially effective in small to medium-sized technology, manufacturing or services companies/divisions facing challenging high growth or turnaround situations.

JODY KELLY, CFO

BIO: A true Atlanta native, Jody is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience, Jody has an impressive track record with entrepreneurial companies on a rapid growth path in a variety of industries including healthcare IT, technology, SaaS, and professional services. Jody is not afraid to tackle complicated projects, break it down, and get it done. A passionate Georgia Bulldogs fan (Go Dawgs!), Jody is proud to be part of team Acuity, where she says “integrity is valued and there is a true commitment to the client relationship. BOB REEVES, CFO-In-Residence

Industry: Technology, FinTech, Security, SaaS, Start-ups, Consumer Models

Years of Experience: 30+

BIO: Bob is from Nashville and has lived in Atlanta for 30 years working in various finance leadership roles.  He earned an MBA from Georgia State along the way. In that time, he has leveraged his role in business-line finance to be a trusted partner of business leaders working for various high-growth technology companies in both B2B and B2C markets.  He has served as a leader in Finance Operations, M&A (analysis, negotiation, and integration both as buyer and seller), Financing, Strategy, and a multi-billion dollar sale.  

He has experience in building a business from scratch including all accounting (leading to successful audits in highly regulated business), finance, HR, and payroll functions while simultaneously raising equity.   Whether it’s building a model for key decisions, creating new compensation plans, implementing a financial system, or navigating debt/equity raise, Bob arms the business leaders with clear insight into key drivers and the impact of decisions.  Bob loves Scuba Diving, Sailing, and on occasion a good Whisky.

STEVEN HONNOLD, CFO-In-Residence

Industry: Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing

Years of Experience: 30+

BIO: Steve brings a wide array of experiences and skills to Acuity both personally and professionally. Off the clock, Steve enjoys playing guitar, hiking, and photography; on the clock, his 35 years of experience has spanned everything from corporate finance and marketing analytics to sales strategy and compensation.

Early in his career, Steve was an analytical chemist for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY but soon transitioned to supporting the Motion Picture sales organization in Miami, FL. Later, his role at H-E Parts International led to his working across the globe with private equity firms and investment bankers, which ultimately resulted in the company’s sale to Hitachi. With experience as vast and cross-cultural as Steve’s, Acuity welcomes his comprehensive company view, understanding of cross-functional relationships and interdependencies, and his commitment to financial integrity and measured success.

NATHAN DANE, CFO

Industry: Medical Device, Software, Financial Services

Years of Experience: 20+

BIO: Nathan boasts an impressive 19 years of corporate finance and sales experience in the medical, software, and financial services industries. He specializes in crafting comprehensive, high-level growth and cash management plans, models and analyses, and more. From startup medical device companies to billion-dollar asset management, Nathan has seen and done it all. He earned his MBA from Emory University, and continues to be involved in regular student mentorship and group leadership. Nathan is also a father, musician, painter, sci-fi fanatic, and martial artist.

RICARDO A. KISNER, CFO-In-Residence

Industry: Not-for-Profit, Local Government, Higher Education Administration, and K-12 Administration

Years of Experience: 20+

BIO: Meet Ricardo A. Kisner: MBA, CPA, and now, CFO-In-Residence at Acuity. Mr. Kisner has over 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, including local government, higher education administration, and K-12 administration. As a management consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, he provided services to a variety of private sector companies as well as served on several executive committees as Treasurer.

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Kisner holds an Emergency Financial Manager Certification from the State of Michigan Department of Treasury and a Lean Six Sigma Organization Design Certification. He has also received the 2010 University of Michigan School of Business Alumnus of the Year Award. At Acuity, he enjoys having the ability to work with a variety of different clients and customers.

LISA HYDE, CFO-In-Residence

Industry: Fintech, Payments, Valuations, & SaaS

Years of Experience: 30+

BIO: Specializing in areas like FinTech, payments, valuations, and SaaS, Lisa Hyde is a highly knowledgeable Acuity CFO (and CPA!) who brings over 30 years of experience to the table. Her expertise helps guide our clients to make strategic financial decisions and plan for future success. In addition to her work at Acuity, Lisa sits on the Board of Trustees of the Chattahoochee Nature Center and is chair of the Finance Committee. While she enjoys golf and yoga, her favorite “hobby” happens to be watching University of Georgia football!
