It has been an incredible year at Acuity and we have much to be thankful for this holiday season. At a recent company-wide year-end meeting, Sammy Siddique, our Cloud Accounting Team Leader, shared an incredible quote from a 1994 Rolling Stone interview with Steve Jobs:
“Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them. It’s not the tools that you have faith in — tools are just tools. They work, or they don’t work. It’s people you have faith in or not.”
While our main focus is helping entrepreneurs leverage the best technologies to streamline their financial processes, we think the quote above perfectly sums up Acuity’s 2016. This year, we learned that we’re only as strong as our team – who happen to be complete rockstars. Yes – technology helps us help our clients grow, scale efficiently and do amazing things, but these tools would be nothing without the relationships. We love what we do and we so appreciate the opportunity to serve the crazy, exciting and ever-evolving entrepreneurial community.
Before we hit the ground running in 2017, we’re looking back on an incredible year. Based on your engagement, here’s what our community considers to be the top moments of 2016. Thanks for such an incredible year, and cheers to whatever this new year holds.
